Proud Skipper

Our landship ceremony scouts–and those joining us from Ship 548 and Ship 1115–made me very proud at the Northeast Regional Bridge of Honor and Sea Scout Ball on March 28th.

Not only was their behavior excellent, their performance of the landship ceremony was exceptional. Feedback from seasoned adult officers included “best in at least 4 years,” and “I’ve seen a lot of these, and yours is among the top.” My scouts were so focused and serious about this honor that I treated them ice cream–and that is a first.

Our Boatswain’s Mate for Program also received two awards: Sea Scout of the Year and the Catherine A. Mullikin Sea Scout Volunteer of the Year Award, which comes with a sizable donation to our ship.
